Art and Landscape: Bring your Sketchbook and Camera
The Art Session will focus on the aesthetic considerations behind the dynamic composition of a sketched work of art, a painting or a photograph. The Art Session will be conducted by Taimi Poldmaa and Joannie McGuffin.
The Art and Landscape Session will involve a presentation/demonstration and the opportunity for the participants to do some of their own work. Joannie McGuffin, half of the well-known wild-life adventure and photography team of Gary and Joannie McGuffin, will be considering strategies behind the creation of a well laid-out, professional photograph. A Wawa Moment: Coach Tour of the Town of Wawa
Wawa’s history is rich in mining, forestry and the fur trade. (Deposits of iron ore discovered in 1897 played a role in the building of the Algoma Central Railway.) Echoes of this history are still to be found in Wawa today.
